Reporting to the Head of Retail and sitting within the Retail Leadership Team, this role is both strategic and hands-on. You will design and implement a national service model, uplift selling behaviours, and embed leadership capability across store and field teams.
This is not about maintaining existing programs—this is about building them. From foundational training to scalable frameworks, you will take the function from concept to execution, driving measurable performance outcomes across the network.
The Role
You will lead the creation and rollout of structured retail training programs that elevate performance, strengthen customer experience, and build leadership capability across all levels—from store teams through to Area Managers.
Key focus areas include:
- Designing and launching a national service model and selling framework
- Building onboarding, capability pathways and leadership development programs
- Creating “train the trainer” frameworks to empower Area Managers to coach and develop their teams
- Establishing the fundamentals of training, feedback and performance conversations
- Driving adoption, consistency and measurable uplift across the network
About You
You are a commercially minded training leader who thrives in fast-paced retail environments. You’ve built or significantly reshaped training functions before and understand how to translate strategy into practical, scalable tools that drive results in-store.
You Bring:
- Experience across retail training, L&D or operational leadership
- A strong understanding of selling behaviours and store performance drivers
- The ability to influence and upskill senior retail leaders
- A hands-on, build-from-scratch mindset
- Ideally, exposure to HR-led training programs and behavioural frameworks
