The Role

An exceptional opportunity has arisen within a globally recognised luxury fashion House, following recent internal promotions.

Located in Sydney CBD, this flagship boutique is home to over 30 employees across multiple departments.

As Department Manager, you will lead a team of approximately 10–15, driving commercial performance while delivering an elevated and timeless client experience.

Reporting to the Boutique Director and working alongside another Department Manager, you will take full ownership of your department — from sales leadership and client development to team coaching and operational excellence.

This role is ideal for a strong people leader from a fashion background (luxury preferred) who thrives in a high-performance, client-centric environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving Performance

• Lead from the front to achieve and exceed sales targets
• Analyse performance and implement strategic actions to maximise results
• Strengthen cross-selling and elevate selling techniques across categories

Client Development

• Champion exceptional, personalised client experiences
• Build long-term client relationships and support private appointments
• Drive loyalty initiatives and boutique events

People Leadership

• Inspire, coach and develop a high-performing team
• Set clear goals and provide structured feedback
• Identify talent and nurture career progression pathways

Operations & Standards

• Oversee daily department operations
• Maintain impeccable visual and service standards
• Collaborate with BOH and Merchandising on inventory and compliance

About You

• 7+ years retail experience with at least 4 years in a leadership role
• Fashion experience essential; luxury preferred
• Experience managing a department or small–medium boutique
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic mindset
• Fluent written and verbal English (Mandarin advantageous)
• Passionate about craftsmanship, service excellence and team development
• MUST HAVE full Australian work rights
