This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant Store Manager to support a high-profile, fast-paced retail store at Warringah Mall. Partnering closely with the Store Manager, you will drive commercial performance, develop large teams and deliver exceptional customer experiences in a high-volume environment.
This role is best suited to candidates from large-format fashion or multi-brand retailers where pace, complexity and team size are part of everyday operations.
Key Responsibilities Business & Commercial Performance
- Support the achievement of daily, weekly and monthly sales targets
- Analyse sales trends and implement commercial action plans
- Ensure optimal staffing levels aligned to service delivery and wage control
- Drive customer engagement through loyalty initiatives and in-store activity
People Leadership & Development
- Coach, train and develop a large management and sales team
- Build a strong feedback and performance culture
- Support performance management processes and documentation
- Promote a safe, inclusive and respectful workplace
Training & Capability
- Ensure all new starters complete onboarding before commencing
- Drive completion of training on systems, policies and procedures
- Encourage cross-training and development across the team
Visual Merchandising
- Execute and maintain company merchandising standards
- Support key launches and promotional activity
- Maintain presentation, cleanliness and organisation across the store
- Manage inventory levels to support sales and availability
Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and audit requirements
- Oversee cash handling, stock control and inventory accuracy
- Manage receiving, transfers and returns
- Maintain safety, security and on-floor leadership at all times
About You
- 2–3+ years’ experience in Assistant Store Manager or Store Management roles
- Background in high-volume, fast-paced retail (eg. Zara, H&M or similar)
- Proven ability to lead large teams in high-traffic environments
- Commercially focused with strong operational discipline
- Available to work a Sunday–Thursday roster
*Boutique or low-volume retail backgrounds will not be suitable due to the pace, scale and team size.
