Alo’s latest leadership hire is a big statement.

The brand has appointed Benedetta Petruzzo as Chief Executive of International Operations — and it’s a move that signals serious intent.

Fresh from senior leadership roles at Dior and Miu Miu, Petruzzo brings deep luxury expertise at a time when Alo is accelerating its global expansion and sharpening its premium positioning.

As CEO of Miu Miu, she oversaw a period of explosive growth, helping nearly double revenues in the first half of 2024 and cement the brand’s cultural relevance with Gen Z.

In her new role, Petruzzo will lead Alo’s international strategy, overseeing global scale, client experience and brand identity — while staying anchored in the brand’s wellness DNA. Alo already ships to 128 countries and operates 200+ stores across 26 markets.

Alongside a forthcoming Paris flagship on the Champs-Élysées, Alo is also set to open its first Australian store at Chatswood Chase, marking a major milestone for the brand in APAC.

This is a smart hire at a pivotal moment. As activewear brands move further into luxury territory, leadership with proven experience in scaling desirability — without diluting brand equity — becomes critical.

This appointment isn’t just about growth. It’s about direction.

We’re seeing more luxury leaders move into adjacent categories — is this where the strongest growth opportunities now sit?
