We are partnering on a highly confidential mandate to identify a standout commercial operator to take ownership of a flagship category within a market-leading, multi-branded retailer.

This role will not suit everyone — and that’s by design.

You’ll sit at the intersection of strategy and execution, trusted to lead a high-value category across ANZ. You will influence global brand partners, shape trading direction, and make decisions that directly impact business performance. The pace is fast, the expectations are high, and there is nowhere to hide — but for the right person, the exposure and impact are significant.

We are looking for someone who doesn’t need hand-holding. Someone who can walk into a room, build credibility immediately, and confidently lead commercial conversations backed by data.

What You’ll Own:

• End-to-end category leadership with full commercial accountability
• Strategic direction, performance optimisation and growth delivery
• Senior brand partnerships and complex commercial negotiations
• Product lifecycle — from ranging decisions through to launch execution
• Executive-level reporting, insights and performance storytelling

About You:

• Top-tier Category Manager / Buyer with a strong commercial track record
• Highly numerate — comfortable owning, analysing and presenting the numbers
• Gravitas and presence — able to influence and represent at senior level
• Fast, decisive and thrives in high-performance environments
• Builds trust quickly and operates with confidence and autonomy
